2021 Hyundai Santa Fe- Everything is New!

Santa Fe is an important vehicle in Korean auto manufacturer Hyundai’s portfolio. The company’s American list of automobiles consists of several crossovers. 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe has received an extensive refresh from the previous version. With additional engines, interior changes, exterior changes, and a new platform, Hyundai aims to offer strong competition to the likes of Ford, Mazda, Nissan, and others.

Trim Levels:

The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe gets 4 trim levels, which are as follows:

  • SEL
  • SE
  • Calligraphy
  • Limited

Calligraphy has been added to the 2021 lineup recently.

FWD (Front Wheel Drive) is available as standard equipment on the vehicle, but one can always put extra money to change it to AWD (All Wheel Drive) on all trim levels. One also gets additional Premium packages, called Convenience and Convenience + Premium.

Engine Specifications:

The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with a 2.5 liter engine that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It churns out a maximum power of 191 hp. Another engine, which is a 2.5 liter turbocharged mill, can produce 277 hp of power, available with the same 8-speed automatic transmission. Hyundai also offers its customers a hybrid model, with a 1.6 liter turbocharged and 2 electric motors that together produce 225 hp.

Exterior Appearance:

Hyundai design looks bold at the front, and its new front grille dominates the design. The SUV gets chrome strips in the lower part of the grille, lending it a classical look. Full LED lights are standard across all trim levels, and one can also see T-shaped daytime running lights.

Better wheel options are now available on all trims. While the SEL and SE trims get 18-inch alloy wheels, Limited and the Calligraphy can be seen with 19-inch and 20-inch alloys. Heated ORVMs (Outdoor Rear View Mirrors) are present as well. ORVMs on the Calligraphy and Limited trim levels are power foldable.

Chrome is also present at the rear, just above the exhaust pipe. It is interesting to note that LED taillights appear connected on a few trims.

Interior Appearance:

The key on the 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe now gets Remote Start as well. In terms of seating, one can see cloth fabric on the SEL and SE. Those looking for classier fabrics can choose trims above the Limited edition, which come with leather upholstery. The car’s driving seats gets Memory seat settings for two persons. SE and SEL customers get 8-way power adjustable seats.

The gauge cluster on this vehicle gets a technological update, and now is full reconfigurable. It has a length of 12.3 inches and gets excellent resolution. However, it is found only on the Limited and Calligraphy trims.

Space on offer is pretty good, it being as much as a luxury SUV despite the vehicle being compact.

Safety on Offer:

The vehicle’s ORVMs are used for Blind Spot Monitoring (SEL and above). Available safety technologies, apart from the above, include:

  • Auto high beam
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Forward Emergency Braking
  • Hyundai Smart Park system (Limited and Calligraphy only)
